A nice spring cleaning will have your truck, and you, feeling refreshed and ready to hit the road! Here are a few simple ways to spruce up your truck cab interior and get prepared for the spring season.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Restock Any Cleaning Supplies

Making sure you have proper supplies is one of the first steps to getting your truck prepared for spring. Here are a few things we recommend having on hand before you get to cleaning – and to keep with you for a quick cleaning on the road.

  • Microfiber Cloths/Towels
  • Wet Wipes
  • Glass Cleaner
  • Air Fresheners
  • Trash bags or plastic bags

Fortunately, these things do not take up much space, so storing them won’t be an issue. Many of these items can be used multiple times as well! For example – a microfiber cloth or towel can serve as a dusting cloth and can be used when cleaning your windows.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Cleaning Checklist

Once you have all you need to begin cleaning, its time to get to work. These cleaning tips could also be included in any regular truck cleanings you do, not just for spring cleaning, but any time of the year!

  • Clean out all trash and bulky items! This will make cleaning the rest of your truck a breeze because you don’t have to work around stuff. Taking out any old papers, receipts, cups, etc will also help declutter your truck too. Don’t forget to check your fridge as well!
  • Pick-up the cab floor and shake out any mats or rugs. Its no secret that winter and the start of spring can be a wet, muddy mess outside which is sure to make your cab floors a little dirty and dusty. Shake out your floor mats and rugs if you are able and even consider vacuuming or sweeping out the floor as well.
  • Dust and wipe everything down. It is your preference on where to start, but this is when the microfiber towel comes in handy! Be sure to get to places like the air vents, dash and the knobs. Wiping all the hard surfaces down in your truck will help get rid of any bacteria too.

Other things you can consider doing would be re-organizing any storage compartments and getting some new air fresheners or spray. Also, consider washing your bed linens and any towels while you are at home or have access to a washer and dryer. It is always nice to sleep on fresh linens!

Warmer weather is an excellent motivator to get some of these to–do’s accomplished – like a good spring cleaning of your truck, but keep in mind it is important to maintain a regular cleaning schedule for your truck all year-round. Our shop does a great job of maintaining the mechanics of your truck, but it is up to each individual driver to keep the interior of their truck clean and organized. Remember – a clean truck is a happy truck!

Be safe out there and happy cleaning![/vc_column_text][nectar_btn size=”large” button_style=”regular” button_color_2=”Accent-Color” icon_family=”none” url=”https://www.facebook.com/wittebros/” text=”Check us out on Facebook for more! ” margin_top=”20″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
