Exercising on a regular basis is an important activity all drivers should to do their best to consciously remember. Daily exercise can help keep drivers in healthy condition and help to prevent the negative effects of being a sedentary position for extended periods of time.
Being a driver means you need a smarter workout, exercises that let you do more in less time, a routine that’s simple and designed for health so even if you haven’t worked out in a while, you can start today.
According to Pilot Flying J’s “Eat, Stretch, Move” this all starts with “Knowing your ABCs”. The ABCs of fitness include movements that target Above the wait, Below the waist, Cardio and Stretching. These workouts can be done:
- With little to no equipment
- In your home or truck
- With minimal space
- In usually 30 minutes or less
Power starts in the mind. You have to make a decision and find the motivation to stick to it. Being a professional driver, you know your job is hard, physically and mentally. You need to make sure that you are keeping mentally sharp while on the road.
Food is fuel, it powers your body. Choosing what you choose to fuel your body with is the best way to control your weight. Eating healthy foods and beverages will help you feel better and stay safe while you are on the road.
