To Qualify for Trucking School in Missouri

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • No DWI or DUI in last 3 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations within last 3 years, with no more than 2 in the last 12 months
  • No more than 1 serious violation in the last 5 years
  • No license suspension in the last 3 years
  • Stable work history and good references from former employers
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must have CDL permit
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Pass a pre-employment DOT physical, DOT drug screen, and job functioning evaluation

CDL Training and Truck Driving Tuition

A modest enrollment fee of $300 is all you need to get you on the fast track to earning your CDL. Included in this fee you will receive a Department of Transportation physical, Commercial Driver’s License an all necessary training materials required for Truck Driving Basic Training. This training will prepare you for an entry-level position as a professional driver.

Class Schedule

Phase One of your CDL training will last approximately 5 weeks. These sessions run Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During this phase you will be taught in a classroom environment, learn and hone skills on a driving range, and receive local driving experience as well. At the completion of this phase is the successful passage of the Class A Commercial Driver’s License, otherwise known as a CDL.

Phase two of your program will be approximately 4 weeks of actual driving over-the-road with qualified trainers from Witte Bros. Exchange, Inc. You will receive weekly pay while driving during phase two of the program. The total training period is a minimum of 9 weeks, which includes approximately 4 weeks of paid on-the-job training.

After Training

After completion of phase one and phase two of the training program, you will be dispatched as a solo company driver.

After 60 days of solo driving, you will be eligible for health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.

Plan on bringing bedding, food, toiletries and clothing that is weather appropriate.
