Drivers with at least three months but less than one year of over-the-road experience with a valid CDL must go through our driver training program. This may last 2-6 weeks depending on your driving skill. This program is actual over-the-road driving with a Witte Bros. driver-trainer performing the normal tasks that will be required as a solo driver. During this training period drivers are paid $65 per day while on the road – up to $455 per week. Successful completion of this program is dependent upon you, the trainee, your over-the-road trainer, and Witte's Safety Department. All three entities must agree that the trainee is ready for solo dispatch.
When the training program is completed, base pay is as follows (based on accumulated experience):
